IFC RECRUITMENT GUIDELINES

These guidelines are set by the Interfraternity Council to ensure that your recruitment experience is fair and unbiased. Please assist the IFC and fraternities by adhering to these guidelines. Any questions about these guidelines or any knowledge of infractions of these guidelines, whether by a fraternity or another recruit, should be directed to any IFC officer.

1. Structured recruitment will be notified at a latter date.  E-mail info@southernmissgreek.org for more information.
2. All incoming freshmen and new transfer students are eligible to receive a bid through structured or open recruitment. All returning USM students must have a 2.0 GPA to receive a bid.
3. During structured recruitment, communication with fraternities is limited to minimal contact outside of structure recruitment events.
4. There is no alcohol allowed at any recruitment event.
5. No recruits may be in a closed room at any time while in a fraternity house.
6. Eating with fraternity members during structured recruitment is forbidden.
